He had a properly arched neck which flowed into his shoulder and down to his correct length and angle of upper arm. He had correct substance, oval bone, not overdone. This puppy held his topline on the move and his movement was smooth and easy, nothing excessive. Groomed and shown to perfection and I was honored to give him WINNERS DOG, BEST OF WINNERS, BEST PUPPY.

This was a red and white boy that was well up to size for his age; his head needs to catch up to the rest of him which I’m confident it will, but he has a good reach of neck and a very pleasing, typey outline. He carries good front to rear angles; he was shown in lovely condition, carrying a correct coat and when he moved he had nice reach and drive. It was my pleasure to award him BEST OPPOSITE SEX IN SWEEPSTAKES and I congratulate his breeders, owners and handler.

2.  PERIVALE SECRET ENCOUNTER AT REMARQUE This red and white male was very similar in outline to the number one placement. He has a pleasing head, correct ear set, a good level topline with a correct coat that was in blossom condition. He is a clean mover and was well handled.

3. GULLYBROOKE BACK IN BLACK A redheaded tricolor boy with a good level topline, he was in a nice coat, good condition and a clean mover.

4.  GULLYBROOKE BLACK FOREST OF ULAMAUNA A redheaded tricolor boy with a pleasing head and a dark eye. On the day his topline was a bit off; he had good bone and was a clean mover.

Would like to see more forechest. He had nice side gait and was a clean mover despite the wet grass, good reach and drive.

2.  SANDFOX GOLDEN MONARCH A red and white male with a pleasing head, he had a level topline, would like to see more length of ribcage on him and less length of loin. He was clean coming and going.

She is a clean mover when she is focused and liked to give her handler a little attitude to keep him on his toes.

2.  MAGIC MOMENT A KEEPSAKE TRIBUTE TO CORALIE This lovely bodied-up red and white girl has a lot to like; she is a very balanced girl with a correct outline and front to rear angles. She never gave me any ears so it was hard to see her expression, however, she is a clean mover and with more practice in the ring, should get the hang of this.

3.  MAGIC MOMENT WISH UPON A STAR This was a redheaded tricolor girl that was smaller than those above her, she has a cute face and correct expression, carrying a level topline, she was not keen to move on the wet grass today.

A red and white girl with a correct head, she has a pleasing expression with a good reach of neck that flows into a level topline. She has good front to rear angles and has pretty correct side gait with nice reach and drive, not in her best coat today, but what you see is what you get and she is a well made girl that I was pleased to have in my ring. I congratulate her breeders and owners and was happy to award this honest, nice young lady BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES.

2.  PERIVALE FANTASY FLIGHT This redheaded tricolor pushed the number one girl hard on the day; she is a lovely feminine girl with a correct outline. I would prefer a shorter ribcage on her and her topline was a bit off today; but she was a clean mover and carries wonderful breed type.

3.  PERIVALE FLIGHT TO PARADISE This girl caught my eye immediately for her lovely and correct outline with substance, bone, coat and short correct angled hocks. Her head is correct, loved her length of muzzle and underjaw. She has a wonderful layback of shoulder and she was a clean mover and very correct in every single way except for her eye color. This balanced girl would have it all if she carried the correct eye color that our standard calls for. She was well handled and deserved this placement in a quality-filled class.

4.  GULLYBROOKE LITTLE BLACK DRESS A redheaded tricolor girl with a pleasing head, a good reach of neck that flowed into a level topline. Not in the coat of those above, but an easy mover in a class of good company.

1. TALISMAN CHIAROSCURO A well bodied-up redheaded tricolor with a pleasing head, carrying a level topline. She has a correct prosternum which was nice to see, she has a correct coat and nice bone, she was a clean, easy mover in this wet grass.

2.  BEAUMANOR BROGAN BAROSSA VALLEY A pretty outline on this red and white girl, not the size of the girl above her, but a quality girl no less. She has a correct head and expression, a level topline and was a nice easy mover. I don’t think she was fond of the wet grass as she used herself much more later on in the afternoon.

Nice masculine dog, just over a year old, well put together, and a very appealing headpiece. He had a nice shoulder structure and placement with a very nice prosternum. There were moments of glory while moving that told me his off and on lack of coordinated gaiting was a growth issue. WINNERS DOG

2.  HARMONY I’M A TRAVELING MAN (GCh. Sandfox Cadenza x GCh. Harmony Connemara Single Malt) Breeder: Melody A. Kist. Owners: Sean Sullivan, Ann Sullivan & Melody Kist. A sable dog with a nice headpiece and an acceptable self colored eye. This dog had a nice side gait, but lacked the depth of body and let down for his age.

The BEST class of the day!

1.  AUBREY’S DOIN’ IT FREESTYLE (GChS. Nchanted Concerto x GChG. Aubrey’s Moon River) Breeders/Owners: Cynthia M. Savioli & Vincent J. Savioli. This one caught my attention when she entered the ring. A very rich red bitch of correct length to height proportions and a lovely coordinated side gait. She had a very sweet head on a nice long neck that blended beautifully into a solid topline. Further examination revealed a correct shoulder to upper arm proportion, with correct angles and layback. She had good length of ribbing to loin and beautiful rear angles, with a nice turn of stifle. To be a bit nitpicky, her head is a bit long in muzzle, but at 1 year old today, I’m sure that it will mature and soften. This exhibit is “star quality” which is what earned her WINNERS BITCH, BEST OF WINNERS. I would change one other thing about her, she needs to reside at Gaylord!

2.  BRYNLEA NUTELLA OF SANDFOX (GCh. Sandfox Eweknow Eclipse Of The Heart x Ch. Brynlea Rhythm Of The Rain) Breeders: Brenda Stiles, Vicki Sandage & Dr. Sandra L. Hanson. Owners: Brenda Stiles & Vicki Sandage. A lovely red bitch with a nice outline and correct type. Many similarities to the first place bitch, but the first place girl had that “look at me” presence.

3.  BRYNLEA WELL PARDON ME (GChB. Brynlea Sandfox Shadowdancer, BN RE CA CGC x Ch. Brynlea Pardon My French) Breeder: Brenda Stiles. Owners: Arlene Carr & Brenda Stiles. A red bitch of good breed type, outline and side gait. Well put together overall, with a lovely neck, topline and balance. Again, she was just outshined by the first and second place bitches.

4.  CORGARD’S CATCH A GLIMPSE (GCh. Corgard’s Dial One-VIII-Hundred Yum Yum, CAA x Ch. Corgard’s Rise Of The Second Stun) Breeders/Owners: Kandy L. Boll & Michele L. Pohl. Pretty light red bitch with a sweet face and super dark eyes and eye rims. She was a good mover and correct from all angles, but would like a bit more length.

2.  TOWNHILL WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT (GChS. Nchanted Concerto x GCh. Townhill Penny Lane) Breeders/Owners: Mark Russo & Holly Russo. A very pretty red bitch. It was splitting hairs, and she had many of the same qualities of the first place bitch, but I preferred the length of body on the first place bitch.

A quality bitch with a lovely head piece and neck. She had correct shoulders with correct lay back. She also had adequate rib to loin proportions and a solid rear. Very nice side gait and very little separated her from the first place bitch.

3.  CALLOWAY GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES (GChB. Sandfox Golden Whistler x Sundance Brynlea Marilyn Monroe) Breeders: Pam Brannock & Brenda Stiles. Owners: Karen Werfield & Pam Brannock. A very nice bitch with a correct head and long neck. Well placed shoulders with nice lay back. She also had good rib to loin proportions. She had flashy markings with a full white collar and blaze. Although she did have a smaller stature, she still had good depth of body and substance along with a nice side gait.

4.  BRYNLEA COFFEE CUP FOUR ON THE FLOOR, CA (GChB. Woodsedge Brynlea Noir Like Me x Brynlea Just Enuff Glee, CA) Breeders: Lisa P. Ben-Dror, Brenda Stiles & Susan Klar. Owners: Kierstin Holmes, Lisa Pawl Ben-Dror & Patricia Flanagan. Another bitch of smaller stature but again good substance. Has many of the same qualities of the girls above and earned her placement because of her correct, easy gait.

This dog obviously loves being in the ring and shows it with his “star quality” presence. A quality dog of good proportions and still carrying a solid topline. Overall sound structure and moves around the ring with a nice easy side gait. His “look at me” attitude along with his physical attributes earned him an AWARD OF MERIT.

A lovely red bitch that I have always admired and held in the highest esteem. Today however, was something special. A real “star quality” show dog! She has always been a good mover, very correct from all angles, with good reach and drive on the side gait. Today was the best I’ve ever seen her. She showed off all her lovely qualities at a gait that allowed you to see her lovely front reach and drive off the rear. Very balanced movement front to rear with a solid back allowing for good transmission. She’s a credit to her breeders/owners/exhibitors. Her lovely type and soundness at 10+ years old earned her the highest honors of BEST OF BREED, BEST VETERAN today!

She covers ground with ease and moves cleanly coming and going. She did not hold her topline as well as I would like on the move.

1.  AUBREY’S DOIN’ IT FREESTYLE This red and white girl caught my eye from the moment she walked into the ring. Although I liked the head on the second place girl better and would prefer a shorter muzzle, this girl has a nice dark eye and a good ear set. She has a lovely long neck that blends into well angulated shoulders and a long, level topline. She has good bone and substance with a correct underline and a well angulated rear. This girl covers ground with ease and always holds her topline level. She is clean coming and going. She has the most beautiful, correct outline that could not be denied and it was my pleasure to award her BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES.

2.  CORGARD’S CATCH A GLIMPSE A red and white girl with a correct feminine head. She has a nice length of neck and carries a level topline standing and moving. She has good bone and substance. She is clean coming and going. Her upper arm is shorter so she did not have the side gait of the first place girl. Would prefer a darker eye.

She has nice bone and substance. She has a lovely long neck that blends into well angulated shoulders and a solid, level topline. She has a well angulated rear and a correct underline. She moves cleanly coming and going and covers ground nicely from the side.

Handsome sable boy who made a lovely profile. Moderately long and low. Balanced angles front and rear. Dark, oval eye with pleasing expression. Skull needs to flatten a bit but that should come with age. He won this strong class on his free and easy sidegait. RESERVE WINNERS DOG today but guessing WD in his future.

2. MELYN RHOS STERLING SILVER (Ch. Aberlee Bransby x Sandfox Chance Play of Perivale) Breeder/Owner: B, Lea Jacobs. Dark, oval eyes, good chiseling and correct muzzle to skull proportion blessed this little guy with a standout head. Another with a good outline, nice layback and long upper arm. Though he was balanced when standing he didn’t drive off his rear like the above dog today and it cost him in the final go around. Still would take him home in a minute.

3. PORTER OF NOTTINGHAM (Ch. Brynlea Willowisp I Got Rhythm x Mimzy of Nottingham) Breeders: Marcia Ritchie & Margarette Ritchie. Owners: Marcia Ritchie & Sue Klepp-Magos. A longer bodied boy who wasn’t as mature as those above. Good profile but was a little long in loin. Balanced mover on the go around. Good bone. Wish his eye was a bit darker but otherwise a pleasing head.

4. STERLING ALL IN (Ch. Dalarno Play It Again Sam x GCh. Sundance Grace Kelly) Breeders: Kara Janiszak, Lisa Price & Debbie Price. Owners: Kara Janiszak & Alyssa Janiszak. The baby of the class. He had great bone with short hocks. Nice head proportions with proper ear set and dark eye made for an attractive head. Level topline. Moved out well from the side but could get a bit sloppy on the down and back. That could be age related.

Short hocks with good bone. Nice angles front and rear gave him a fluid side gait. He made a pretty outline standing but fell off a bit in the croup on the move. I’m guessing maturity will correct that. Correct head proportions with good pigment. Shown in excellent condition.

Good bone. Won this class on his outline.

2. CURIG FAERIETALE MINI COOPER (Faerietale Curig Bentley, PT x Brumbaer’s Kick’N Back @ Curig) Breeders/Owners: Susan Neave, Barbara Du Pree & Juliana Du Pree. Very pleasing head on this black-headed tricolor boy. He was in beautiful coat. He had good rear angulation but lacked the upper arm and front layback to go with it. When he moved his topline was level but when he stood it tended to sag just a bit, which cost him today.

Clean coming and going and balanced from the side. Loved his head and expression. Dark, oval eyes with 3:5 muzzle to skull ratio and nice chiseling. He was presented in beautiful condition. Pleased to award him WINNERS DOG.

Correct long, low outline with good bone and feet. Well angled front and rear made for an easy ground covering side gait. He was blowing coat but what he did have was healthy. Correct head planes with pleasing expression. The one problem I saw was that he tended to fall off at the croup on the move. I have a feeling if he was in coat this wouldn’t have been very noticeable. This boy has a bright future.

A handsome dark sable with eyes that would just melt you. He had nice back and underlines but like above, was a bit long in hock. Lovely reach of neck that blended into well laid back shoulders. Though he looked balanced standing he had more reach than drive on the move. That cost him first today.

This guy had the prettiest of expressions that just made you melt. He too had nice angles but like many of us do with age, tended to be a bit overweight. Still a handsome fellow whom I just loved.

This was a lovely class of baby girls who all were of high quality but of four different styles. The placements could easily be rearranged at any given time.

Pretty little sable bitch with a nice eye and expression. Wasn’t the showiest one in the bunch when standing but on the move she strutted her stuff with an easy, ground covering stride. She had a long neck that blended into correct front assembly. Long level topline that was held both standing and on the move. Well sprung ribcage that extended well back, giving her a short loin. Tight feet. Was pleased to award her RESERVE WINNERS BITCH and BEST PUPPY.

2. SPRINGMILL BIG CYPRESS WHISTLE STOP (Ch. Sandfox Golden Whistler x Ch. Big Cypress Springmill Everybodies Talkin) Breeders: Dorothy Sanford & Nancy Oehlhof. Owner: Nancy Oehlhof. Light red and white who made a pretty outline standing and on the move. Long neck blended into a moderate shoulder which gave her a balanced gait on the move. Good depth of chest with long rib cage. Nice head but would prefer a bit more underjaw. Presented in excellent condition.

3. TOWNHILL WHATS LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT (GCh Nchanted Concerto x GCh TownHill Penny Lane.) Breeder: Mark and Holly Russo.  Owner:Mark and Holly Russo. Light red and white bitch that just oozed type. She was shorter coupled then the rest of the class but was well balanced. Beautiful head and expression. Lovely arch to neck that blended well into shoulders. Good depth and ribbing. Level back. Short hocks and well boned. What cost her a higher placement today was the tendency for her back to roll on the move. I’m betting that will improve with age.

4. STERLING ‘N GAYLORD SHE’S GOT THE LOOK (Ch. Dalarno Play It Again Sam x GCh. Sundance Grace Kelly) Breeders: Kara Janiszak, Lisa Price & Debbie Price. Owners: Kara Janiszak & David Guempel. Beautiful head on this tricolor girl with dark, oval eyes, correct head planes and proportions. She looked to be the baby of the class. She held her level topline throughout and was balanced on the move. I would like to see a bit more length of neck and a longer upper arm.

Darling tricolor of smaller stature. Beautiful balance front to rear with nice length of body and good ribbing. Loved her expression and head. Today her topline let her down but hopefully it will correct with time.

2. BRUMBAER’S MINK AND PEARLS (Brumbaer’s Krome Bumpers x Kaybe Bottoms Up) Breeders: Sherryn Viebrock, Sue King & Karen Fruhmann. Owners: Sue King & Karen Fruhmann. Beautiful type on this girl. Gorgeous head and expression. Lovely outline with all parts blending smoothly. Balanced side gait but not as clean coming at you. Pushed the winner hard.

3. GARVINS STEP BY STEP (Ch. Garvins Side By Side x Ch. Garvins Rhyme N Reason) Breeders: Kay Gunderson & Gayle Garvin. Owners: Bonnie Hansen & Gayle Garvin. Red and white with super ring presence. Pretty head with pleasing expression and dark eye. Long neck blended nicely into her front but her short upper arm tended to make her lift on the go around. Made a pretty picture standing. Shorter, tighter and completely correct coat. Was shown in top performance condition.

She had a lovely reach of neck that blended in to well set shoulders. The rear angles matched perfectly giving her an effortless, ground covering stride. She had a strong topline that remained firm on the move. She had a nice dark eye but I would have liked a bit softer expression. She will have a great future in the ring.

2. BRIGADOON’S BROADWAY BABY OF SADDLE LANE (Aberlee Take It To the Limit x Brigadoon Lady of the Manor) Breeder: Betty Cook. Owners: Andrew Carter & Betty Cook. Beautiful type on this light red and white. Pretty expression with dark eyes and good head proportions. Moderate length of neck blended nicely into front. Balanced angles front to rear. Clean mover in all directions. Her conditioning wasn’t at its best today and it cost her in the end.

3. LEFTBANK KESTREL IT’S MY PARTY AT DAYDREAM (Aberlee Leave It To Me x Ch. Leftbank Kestrel Where’s The Party) Breeders: Lynne Bloor Wolfe & Ann Caterson. Owners: Sally Felix, Lynne Bloor Wolfe & Ann Caterson. Another girl who had a lot to like but was shown overweight. Correct head planes and sweet expression. She was low stationed with nice bone and balanced angles. She was an easy mover but I bet it would have been even nicer with a few less pounds.

4. KACIA’S WEEKEND SURPRISE (GCh. Juels R’Bratt Midnight Express x Kacia’s Believe You Can) Breeder: Kathy Garcia. Owner: Wendy L Wendt. Tricolor girl who was very immature. Pleasing head and expression with proper stop, eye shape and color and pigmentation. Balanced angles from to rear made a nice picture going around.. Chest hasn’t dropped yet and she hasn’t bodied up so she still looked quite leggy.

Was happy to award her WINNERS BITCH and BEST OF WINNERS.

2. FOXWOOD’S LOVE OF THE GAME (GCh. Ciregna Thats Amore x Ch. Foxwood’s Happy Ever After) Breeders/Owners: Debbie Royster & Daniel Hartman. Beautiful outline on this girl though she wasn’t quite as mature as the above. She had a pleasing head with fabulous pigment. Strong, level topline. Balanced on the side but not quite the reach and drive of the above. She has a bright future.

She had lovely reach of neck that blended cleanly into well laid back shoulders and upper arm. Her topline was level at all times and was complimented with ribbing that reached well back. Her bone was in proportion to her size and of correct shape. Her head wasn’t quite as feminine as I’d like but a super quality bitch who pushed hard for winners.

2. SANDFOX TRILLER (GCh. Heartsong Brynlea Pavarotti x GCh. Sandfox Kismet) Breeder: Vicki Sandage DVM. Owners: Karen Werfield & Vicki Sandage DVM. Red and white who wasn’t as mature as the above but shows a ton of promise. She was presented in beautiful coat and condition. She had a lovely feminine head with correct planes, dark pigment, good size ears, with proper placement, and dark, oval eyes. Her outline was correct, long and moderately low. She was clean coming and going and balanced on the side but tended to flip her front feet a bit. Another one I’d take home in a minute.

3. WIND DANCER IN LIVING COLOR @ AYLESFORD (Ch. Rosewood Brigantne x Aylesford Best Kept Secret) Breeders: Mary DeToma & Betty Mercer. Owners: Mary DeToma & Elizabeth Mercer. Heavier bodied tricolor who was shorter coupled than those above but still had nice proportions. Balanced angles front to rear with an easy side gait. Loved her pigment. Good bone. She was on the overweight side today and it cost her in this class.

4. HARMONY TWO TIMING WOMAN (Ch. Anlen Payday x Ch. Harmony Whiskey River) Breeder/Owner: Melody Kist. Youngster in the class but lots of promise here. Super balance fore and aft which made for a nice sideview. Clean coming and going. She appeared a little longer in hock and her otherwise level back fell away a bit at the croup on the move. She had a nice ribcage that carried well back. All she needs is a few months of maturity.

Correct head planes and proportion made for an attractive head but it was her body that earned her the win. Moderate size girl with a beautiful topline and underline. Her ribbing stretched well back giving her a short, strong loin. Her pretty neck flowed into well laid back shoulder and a long upper arm. Good bone. Shown in perfect condition. Was happy to award her BEST OF BREED, BEST VETERAN.
