The Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Western Reserve does not have an official Rescue Committee at this time, however we have members who may unofficially assist in placing Pembrokes in need of new homes.
We also have members who are breeders and sell dogs (puppies and adults). See the Breeder Referral list.
If you are interested in adopting a rescue corgi, here are resources we recommend:
Ohio Valley Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club (They have an active rescue committee.)
East Coast Corgi Rescue (located in Washington, DC)
Third Tyme Rescue (They do a number of breeds, including Corgis.)
Brenda Stiles (Brynlea Corgis)
We recommend that all prospective Corgis owners check out the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America site: pwcca.org. There is a member directory where you can select a state and “Puppies” to see the member breeders in that state. And there are a number of informational articles. Corgis are wonderful dogs, but they are not right for everyone or every situation.
